Canadians are well aware of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s ties to the north, from the early days of their relationship in Toronto to their brief time as homeowners on Vancouver Island. But, what we don’t know is what the young couple did for fun way back before they went public — not until now, that is.
Meghan told an adorable story on Ellen earlier this week about how she and her then-boyfriend Prince Harry “snuck out” for a Halloween party in Toronto with Harry’s royal relative, Princess Eugenie, and her partner Jack Brooksbank.
“He came to see me in Toronto and our friends, his cousin Eugenie and now her husband Jack, they came as well,” Meghan said. “The four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple.”

“It was a post-apocalypse theme, so we had all of this very bizarre costuming on, and we were able to just have one final fun night out,” she added. Ellen joked that the people who attended the party must now be guessing which of the guests were secretly Harry and Meghan in disguise.
The conversation then turned to what she and Prince Harry had done this past Halloween, and Meghan explained that their son Archie wasn’t exactly thrilled about his dinosaur costume, but that their daughter Lilibet Diana looked adorable in her skunk outfit.
We love a royal romance story, especially when it takes place in our very own city.
