Being born the son or daughter of a celebrity pairing can’t be an easy thing. Sure, people will claim that you’re bound to benefit from nepotism to some degree – you may have doors open for you, strong financial backing, and a name that can take you far – but there’s more to consider than just the perks.
After all, how many of us can honestly state that we would like to be famous without having a say in the matter? When your mother or father, or even both, are high-profile figures, you come into the world under scrutiny whether you like it or not.
Of course, many celebrity babies try to use this to their advantage growing up, often building their own fanbases that might help them to achieve their own aims and objectives in life. But don’t forget that with attention ultimately comes criticism as well as adoration.
Gracie McGraw, daughter of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, found herself under fire recently after posting a series of risquè photos to her Instagram account.
The snaps in question, apparently taken at her home, show the 27-year-old sporting a number of provocative outfits in different places, including the sofa, the living room, and what appears to be her bedroom.
The singer lounged on a couch for one of the images, donning a black garter attached to lacy lingerie. The next photo was taken in the bedroom, where she continued to set tongues to wagging.
A third pic shows Gracie in a floral-patterned black corset with white shorts and black stockings, with her raised foot resting on a pile of books.
Yet though her Instagram post was undeniably bold and beautiful, it drew the ire of critics for some reason…
One simply wrote: “Why?“
Another added: “I see nothing flattering about these pictures.“
A third commenter wrote: “Gracie, you are very pretty, you don’t need to cheapen yourself by posting pictures like this, no dad wants to see his daughter like this, or have people everywhere online , looking at there daughter like this. It’s so disrespectful to yourself and your dad. Apparently they didn’t raise you with any modesty, and money doesn’t buy class. I think you are starved for attention, and want people talking even if it’s negative. I’m embarrassed for you, and your parents. You are better than this, you just don’t know it.“
“why? stop. NO!” wrote a fourth.
We might point out that it only negative comments she received, with a number of fans from her 100,000 plus base on Instagram rushing to defend her.
“Somebody looks like mama ❤️” one person commented.
“Finally posted my fav ” added another.
A third wrote: “are you joking??? These are STUNNING.“
