Except for formal events of the British Royal Family , the first and only time the two couples William – Kate and Harry – Meghan appeared together was a conversation on stage at the Royal Foundation Forum in February. /2018.
Despite the image of unity that the “Fab Four” (roughly translated: the legendary, extraordinary foursome) tries to portray, viewers can feel their stiffness and awkwardness. This provides insight into why Meghan never seemed to have feelings for Kate and vice versa.

Although some believe the royal sister-in-law relationship broke down after a tearful row over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress fittings before Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May 2018, the issue between they seem to have existed before that.
An insider told the Telegraph the Duchess of Sussex is uncomfortable with being placed behind the Prince and Princess of Wales in the palace hierarchy.
“I feel like Meghan sees herself as an independent woman while Kate doesn’t really have her own career yet. She seems to feel like she has more right to speak out than her sister-in-law – who was only anonymous before entering the royal family. Meghan considers herself a philanthropist who could teach the royal family a thing or two about charity. I think she found it difficult as the Royal Foundation was already a well-oiled machine by the time she got there,” the source shared.
In the book The Palace Papers (2022), author Tina Brown describes Meghan taking up most of the airtime during a talk at the Royal Foundation Forum.
At a time when the #MeToo movement was in full bloom, Meghan implemented an issue that had never been raised in the foundation – women’s empowerment. This statement surprised Harry while William and Kate seemed emotionless.
“This event is supposed to promote better mental health, and the Duchess appears to be politicizing it,” Ms. Brown wrote.

The source added that at the same time as the forum, Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, flew to London to christen her daughter and prepare for the wedding. Strangely, Meghan never introduced her to her brother-in-law and sister-in-law even though the Welsh family repeatedly asked to meet.
“It’s all very strange. Meghan seems to want to create separation between them,” the insider commented.
Even before the Royal Foundation Forum, right from the moment she first came into contact with the royal family in 2016, Meghan had a certain sensitivity about Kate.

Before moving to their bridal home Frogmore Cottage in Windsor in April 2019, Harry and Meghan lived in Nottingham Cottage quite modestly. Meanwhile, William and Kate’s accommodation at Apartment 1A, Kensington Palace is very luxurious. Meghan is clearly unhappy about this disparity. What she didn’t know was that her brother and sister-in-law also lived in Nottingham Cottage for two years (2011-2013) after getting married.

As for William and Kate, their impression of Meghan was not good due in part to being influenced by mutual friends after the shooting party in Sandringham (UK). Here, Meghan seemed to clash with 16 guests over political issues, including the upcoming election that helped Donald Trump win the US presidency in January 2017.
Tom Bower revealed in Revenge (2022) that Meghan did not hesitate to challenge any guests whose views were contrary to her values.
