Royal Expert Claims “Meghan Markle Would Have Been The Most Popular Royal if She’d Stuck With the Family”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped away from royal duties and went to California in 2020.

Meghan Markle’s decision to depart royal duties has backfired as she would have been the planet’s ‘most popular person’ had she remained, according to Lady Colin Campbell.A Complete Timeline of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Exit from Royal Life

Lady C believes Meghan has failed to learn from her mistakes in the past and, in the future, she might not accept that she has made the wrong decision. “I don’t think Meghan Markle will ever think that she missed a great opportunity which she might regret in future”, she said.

“She isn’t Catherine, her personality type is not that of somebody who will admit that they made a mistake in the past. “She might blame everybody else.”

Lady C added: “She’s not apt to learn a lesson, which is sad. “For her individual character and personality shortcomings, she would have now been the most popular human being on Earth. “Catherine wouldn’t be. Had Meghan Markle played with a straight bat, she would have knocked Catherine for six. “Instead, Catherine has knocked her for a six.”

The Sussexes have had mixed luck since leaving royal life behind with lucrative commercial assignments being coupled with criticism for attacks on members of the Firm. But just over a week ago, the couple made it clear they were completely supportive of the Princess of Wales, Kate, after her bombshell cancer diagnosis announcement.

They released a short statement a few hours after the Princess’s medical development was made public. Harry and Meghan Markle said they wished Kate and her family would be able to go through the upcoming period together ‘privately and in peace’.

The future queen, Catherine, began a course of “preventative chemotherapy” late in February but is said to have a positive mindset for her recovery and is in good spirits, expressing herself as “well and getting stronger every day”. Last month, Harry came back to the UK after making an emergency dash from the US to see the King following his cancer diagnosis.

The Duke of Sussex cleared his diary and made the journey unaided, with Meghan Markle and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet remaining at home in California. But there was no reconciliation between Harry and his brother the Prince of Wales during the visit, after the duke spent around 45 minutes at Clarence House seeing his father, King Charles III.
